We purchased the Hybrid pool heater from FL Solar and couldn’t be happier! From the first meeting with Bill to the final touch up after installation, we couldn’t be more impressed. Their knowledge, attention to detail, willingness to fix things (minor cosmetic work), and availability for questions on operation was outstanding. Highly recommend this product and their service!
Great company! They were at my house within hours of my call. They gave me a real education on their products. Price was very fair, installation was right on schedule – good quality work. Technicians were competent and friendly. I couldn’t be happier with my new solar-powered hybrid pool heater system.
This is the first review that I felt compelled to write ever! Bill, the owner, came on time and due to his experience told me exactly what I needed in the way of equipment and how he would re-locate it to a new location that I requested. Everything from scheduling with Megan in the office to the installation team was the best I have ever experienced with any company. TJ, the main installer, was so knowledgeable about every facet of the installation and so pleasant to work with as was his helper. I needed some extra help with some issues with the installation and Bill came through over and above what any other company would do in order to make it happen. The whole experience was extraordinary and I am so happy I chose Florida Solar to do my job. I swim everyday in my heated, salt water pool and as I do I feel so grateful to Bill and his fantastic team. I am one happy customer which is why I wrote this, my first review, to let anyone considering this company that you will be making the right decision.
The owner came to my house, inspected where the pool heater would go and explained how they would install it. He call called backed the day to see if he had gotten the job, I told he was not the low bidder, but the way he handled himself, I was him the job..A short time I get a call from FLORIDA SOLARS office to set up day and time to have the heater installed. The young lady said that if they had a cancellation they would call and get here sooner. It worked out that they were able to do sooner. They showed up right on time, had the job done and were gone in less then three hours. Lo and behold they cleaned up after themselves. I was impressed with their work and would have them back.
Recently contacted Florida Solar to evaluate a leak for my pool solar system. I first spoke to Megan who was very pleasant and helpful; she scheduled the appt and kept me informed. Bill arrived on time, evaluated the leak, assisted me in rerouting the water until I could schedule a repair and reset my panels. He was extremely knowledgeable about the system and also made suggestions on some general pool issues I was experiencing. I cannot say enough good things about this company and would highly recommend them, Thank you again.
A+ company. Florida Solar, LLC is one-stop shopping….which is exactly what I was looking for. They did my solar PV system, solar pool heater, converted me to salt water, re-plumbed my entire pool pump setup, upgraded me to a variable speed pump, and upgraded my breaker box. Everything works beautifully. I checked with all the “big” companies (Tesla, Sunrun, etc), as well as 6 other small companies. None of them held a candle to the professionalism and attention to detail that Florida Solar provided. No need to look anywhere else. Thanks guys/gals!
Excellent customer service (booking, updates, ETAs), considerate, courteous, worked a straight 8 hour day, total revamp of pool system w/heat pump. Clean up & removal of old system, thorough explanation of operations, I would absolutely recommend Florida Solar and their crew.
December 31, 2018 & we’re swimming. Great people, great service. TJ installed our system and completely explained how to run it. Great follow-up, no high pressure sales, in fact, there was a small arithmetic mistake made, and they even charged as less than what we were quoted. We highly recommend!
This company is top notch! I spoke to a lot of pool company’s about my need to augment my solar pool system and Florida Solar was the only one that understood what I was looking for. Bill came out and looked at our system and gave us recommendations. He knew what he was talking about and had the right system we were looking for. When we decided to move forward Megan was so helpful in getting our instillation scheduled and keeping us posted on the process. TJ and his crew did an amazing job on the instillation and TJ was so helpful in explaining the new system to us. Bottom line, this company is there for you from start to finish. The whole team at Florida Solar were top notch. After contacting them, they were quickly able to visit my property and provide me an extremely competitive quote, all the while committing to installation in a short time frame on a day that fit my schedule (Saturday). For those reasons alone, we couldn’t have been more pleased. On top of that, the equipment they installed (Pentair Electric Heat Pump) has been a game changer for our ability to use the inground pool year round. I highly recommend Bill, Connie, and the team at Florida Solar.

Kevin took care of all our needs told what needed to be done in the future. He came out the same day we called. He is pleasant to talk to, knowledgeable in what he was doing I can’t enough he is just an all around good guy. Connie was also, pleasant to talk to she took care of us in the same day. We just had a home solar (photovoltaic) system installed and have been greatly impressed with Florida Solar, from start to finish. We have an unusual house here in the Crescent Heights neighborhood of St Petersburg, FL: it has a modern design with a flat roof. Whereas other companies that we got preliminary estimates from insisted that they needed to penetrate our roof’s protective membrane in order to secure the system, Bill Park and his team were willing to work with our needs and suggested using ballast to anchor the panels to our roof. (Some of the other companies had not even heard of this method when we asked them about it, after our initial consultation with Bill.) In addition, Bill suggested installing a hybrid water heater (which uses heat-pump technology), thereby reducing our home’s power consumption by 1/3 and allowing us to use a smaller system to cover our other power needs. Everyone associated with this company–from Bill and Connie Park, to the whole installation crew (thanks, TJ, Mike, and Donovan!), to the outstanding customer support specialist, Megan Watcki–was just top-notch. We particularly appreciated the absence of any kind of “hard sell” on Bill’s part. Whereas the other companies we got estimates from kept calling and pressuring us, Bill patiently fielded all of our questions and let us make up our own minds. We strongly recommend Florida Solar for anyone looking into installing a solar system of any sort, large or small!
Working with Florida Solar was a stellar experience. From the first call I made to the completed installation of our pool solar the service, the communication and installation was professional, courteous and responsive. Bill has a great team. Megan in the office was very professional, friendlyandresponded in a timely manner to all our questions and concerns. TJ and crew did the install and they we excellent, On time, Polite and demonstrated a comprehensive knowledge of what they were doing. When they left , other than the new equipment , we did not know they were there. No clean up required after. I can’t recommend them enough.
I wish I’d known about Florida Solar before, very professional timely and thorough. !! Told me more about my system than I knew existed…These people know what they are doing.
